Any roofing joiners out there

Thanks guys to be honest I wouldn't have the confidence to do a cut roof on that scale but if everything come as a truss package with drawings it's getting more tempting as I get more insight from this . 10 years ago we built a 120ft by 45ft cubicle house after the frame and roof was up as a kit my uncle and friend helped me to sort floor levels put in cubicles and mattresses and a race for testing . My uncle asked me where the drawings were and I replied in my head .it turned out better than I imagined however I suppose the satisfaction that we did it ourselves was the most that shone through. The thing sticking in my mind is if converted to an office space for the Mrs this will have to pass building control. If it was pure agricultural I'd worry less . I don't want to make a hash of it when it may get inspected .

Do it as the drawing, and building control cant say noowt, dont forget wall plate straps and straps to pine end

Don't forget the straps down from the wall plate to the wall. Oops seen this above! This stops the wind blowing the roof away. Building inspector will advise on this or it will be on the drawing. If you have a good scale drawing follow it & you won't be far wrong. Always worth paying for sensible information from a craftsman. I pay £25 per hour for electrical advice/structural advice/details. Works our as good value in the end.
Getting the wall plate parallel & level is paramount, marking out the centres for each truss & as @skinnyhoskins has said remember the ends. These dictate how you will fix things later such as insulation& plasterboard. I'd go for 75mm to be on the safe side. Wind bracing (diagonals) should come with the kit. Ask about this as these can only go in at construction stage as they are the longest pieces of timber unless you form a V which will do the same.
Your tape will have the truss centres of 400mm (old money 16") marked on it already but keep metric as all plasterboard is so. It may pay to add nogs every 2.4 L & 1.2 W for ease of plaster boarding as the sheets are 2.4 by 1.2. Sorry to get technical on you but you can look up all the tech terms at night if you are prepared to take your time.

Cheers keep the technical terms coming . Nogs an all . I presume the nogs for plasterboard also will steady and strengthen the frame. Do you insert them as you go or do the trusses need all set and rejigged before attaching properly. For a straightforward rectangular building with two end gables what way would you approach putting up the trusses ? Thanks

Put up one on first mark, prop up and then work along ataching a batten both sides to keep upright, work to one end ,then put bracing on ,joist clips ,fascias soffits ,felt and batten tile etc

Also we tack the ceiling ,ie put 3x1 at 400 centres to carry the plastterboard as some trusses quite thin, dificult to joint the plasterboard on ends.buy good quality plasterboard

If you use 15mm plasterboard at 400 centres you won't need noggins.

any approximate guesses for a project we are considering in the new year.
stone building with stone slate roof. trusses to be 6.3 wide to cover 8m in length ie 21 trusses if at 400 centres. rough guestimate is fine.

also any approximations on silent floor beams to span the same 6.3m to cover full 8m ie 21 as above

we have the big joists + beams for floor and existing trusses (only has 2 internal trusses then timbers running 8m direction) but I think it will be cheaper and easier to redo with modern as back wall is to come down so saves propping floor and roof and floor is to be lowered so easier to start again I think. + should be easier to cut staircase into silent floors?

I realise its very vague. no access to attick will be given (plan is to rent out and don't want it filling with sh!t so small hatch in hard to reach spot for maintenance nothing else)
scissor? I don't understand or vaulted?
probably put new wall plates while at it.
stone slates going back on
insulated felt? probably that breathable felt seems more popular?

by a guess I wasn't going to hold to a figure more like if you said 2k and it ended up 3k be reyt at this stage in the costings. just a ball park figure or we got these dimensions for this £££ for me to compare.
