I wouldn't worry, there are enough 'sheep' out there to blindly follow their distributor agronomist and apply full dose Revystar + folpet plus biostimulant plus trace element cocktails, to rescue their crops in this stressful time, maintain their (distributor's) margins and keep them in business.
I was going to do .5 of revystar on the wheat but I sent it back in the end. Good mate of mine works for basf he didn’t like it when I said I was going to do that rate!

Well he wouldn't would he. So BASF have lost out on a sale of 0.5l/ha instead of 0.8 or whatever.
In trials I have seen Revysol works well at low rates.

The craziest thing about FW is that you are all still reading it ;)

I haven’t had it for 4 - 5 years now, I do a drive by test in the newsagents a couple of times a year just to confirm my descision and I’m never disappointed with it, you are all helping it stagger on by giving them your cash.

It’s great now I stopped reading it, I no longer feel inadequate every Friday, I feel no urge to buy chem or machinery and expand the farm and I have less recycling to chuck out (y)

BASF are happy with appropriate reduced doses but don't like anything lower than half rate. That's why we don't recommend it on crops like spring barley as they never need anything at that level.

"Monday 8 June – Sunday 21 June
Warm but turning more showery at times
Heading into mid-June, it still looks as though high pressure will often be near to the UK. As a result, we can expect strong and warm sunshine at times. With warmth spreading in from the near-continent at times, some very warm days seem likely. However, it looks as though high pressure areas will gradually move a little further north and east. Over England and Wales, this should occasionally allow showery weather to spread in from the south. In any warmer and humid weather, we could even see some thunderstorms. Further north, in Scotland and Northern Ireland, there is a greater likelihood of drier than average conditions persisting.
The main uncertainty regarding this period is exactly where the high pressure will become centred. There are chances that the high stays directly over the UK and this would lead to a continuation of the unusually dry and settled weather we have been experiencing throughout spring. After such a dry few months, this scenario would lead to extremely dry soils and pastures across the country."

So basically plan on sweef fa rainfall for another month... How can the threat of sunshine and dry weather make me depressed :banghead:.

I have saved on not putting a T1 on but Lilly is barely holding up again yellow rust.... Think I have to give it a hand or I wont have anything to combine!... It will be a pre-em, T1.5, T2 or even 3 depending on which field and where in the field you stand...

Still, I do much prefer this to wearing wellies and waterproofs and trudging though mud everyday!

It is a v low disease year but I didn't regret and still don't regret a slug of epoxi at t2
if not putting a t2 on beware of brown rust
hotter dry weather suits it
cheap to stop with a bit of tebuconozole

in low septoria years the rust suceptable varieties always benifit from rust control

even with a .75 dose of teb my spend on wheat will be the lowest for years

Yes I'm heading for a £35 ha spend this year not incl last years purchase of ctl. Epoxi and Teb.

I put a T2 on this last week.
In Cornwall, septoria will swallow wheat even with a 4 spray programme in a normal year.
These dry, sunny conditions bring us in line with the dryer east.
With a continued dry spell forecast, I can avoid a T3 I expect.

We have gone with a lower rate SDHI only for T2 here... I am genuinely worried about the threat of YR and BR here (especially in Firefly). Both seem to like hot dry conditions and wheats still have some potential even if they are stressed. I'm hoping I wont need to go again with anything at T3 now... might have started harvest by then!
I think we might be 5 weeks from harvest here on light land winter barley breaking our 9th July record!
