Did you get many responses?

Roughly how much does it cost? I can't seem to find prices, I think you have to register to see

Thanks

You are a farmer, an agricultural firm, an agricultural equipment cooperative, or a private buyer/seller

Registering entitles you to 3 advertisements free of charge. This account will enable you to place up to 3 advertisements at once.

e.g.: You have 3 items of equipment on your account, you sell one of them, and you can replace it with a different one.

If you want to spend more than 3 ad, ads are an additional fee. Click here to learn more.

Or try farmkit.com! http://farmkit.com/

Ads are usually £1 a day for private sellers but give me a ring and I'll stick your kit on for a couple of weeks gratis.

If you deal a bit of kit then you can get up to 25 ads for £30 a month - £180 for 6 months' ads - and if you deal a lot of kit then get unlimited ads for £50 a month...

Probably obvious thing to say, but you do get a Europe-wide audience with Agriaffaires. A key differentiator between them and with more ore less "in-country" focussed websites. Bit a schtick getting registered (proving ID etc.), but fine after that.

Hello green giant,

We're seeing pretty good responses to machines listed (around 4,500 listings at the moment).

There are roughly 100,000 page views from 10,000 unique visitors each month and that's been growing month on month since we introduced the classifieds section at the Highland show in June.

You can see how many views each of your own machines have received in the admin section of your account.

Call us on 0114 360 0088 if you've got any more questions.

Cheers, Will

ive used it several times now
we have had calls from many different countries,
don't take to much notice of the high prices,
put the machine on for a realistic price,
language isn't a barrier buyers get someone to translate,
NEVER LET THE MACHINE LEAVE UNTIL THE MONEY IS CLEARED IN YOUR ACCOUNT!

Sold a couple of tractors and sprayer through Agriaffaires. Good number of views and enquires from all over Europe, reasonable value for money for the response I think! (y)

Went with them because they're usually in the top 3 when Googling various used machinery, I found anyway!

Before you spend money on advertising online I would take a look at how much traffic a site is getting

You can use respected sites like www.alexa.com to benchmark and see how many people your advert will be seen by and therefore work out what's value for money and what's not

It's free to advertise here in classifieds and TFF is now one of the UK's most viewed farming website ....... Close to 3million page views a month.

Frankly I would save your money and look no further, if it's on here and a farmer is lookng for it online they are going to find it ! As a private seller there is no need to be paying for adverts as others have said agriaffairs is free as well

I don't rate these website very much that @Clive mentions. Whenever I compare their data ref. traffic on my own website with Google Analytics that I use it usually is way off (lot higher in general).

They are a bit of a blunt tool but give a good idea and tend to be consistently pessimistic so fine for comparisons

Alexa is the best of the bunch I think. Key thing is there is no point advertising on a website that has low traffic and certainly no point paying for it
