Anyone collect any real old tractors ??

Hi all,
I recently joined up on here, I mostly collect tractors pre-1960, in my eyes the older the better. We had an open day at our farm a couple of months ago, and co-insided it with the "North West Pre-war car club" a good night was had by all. We made a quick £500 for the baby unit at the local hospital. Not bad a for a couple of hours after tea.

Hi there,
No, I haven't been to Oakham treasures, but I have heard of it before and seen it in books and magazines, They have some nice machines.
Where I live in the North West of England the farms were small holdings and they were slow to mechanise until the out break of WW2. I always thought as kid, why there was no veteran stuff up are way. Mostly grey Fergusons, dexta's and MF 35's / 135's ...
That's why I always try to go older with my collecting.
We collect stationary engines to ....

It is a 1940 or thereabouts 9n which you are thinking what is unusual about that but it has Sherman hi/low and Howard reduction one or the other is common but both is rare or is it??
It is petrol only and came from Canada and I intend to make a new fuel tank from a stainless steel sink
I have got a registration number for it
But putting a photo on here is beyond my capability

Yes steam powered but not steam boiler.

Oldest one here is a 1939 Farmall A, followed by a 1941 Ford 9N (Ford Fergy). Also 4 Allis's up to 1960 ED40. Has any one worked or driven an Allis FD3, the one with the twin cylinder engine ?

The oldest tractor here is a Wallis model 20-30, made in 1926 so i am told. Wallis were later bought out by Massey Harris then later merged with Ferguson to form Massey Ferguson. Next oldest here would be a big Green Allis Chalmers 20-35 made in 1929. That has a 7.6L straight petrol engine.

Oldest tractor here would be a Fordson Major from 1950 I think. 2 grey Fergies, one diesel and one TVO. I don't know what years they are though. I also have a 1938 I'm almost sure Ruston & Hornsby AP4 open crank. Lovely little engine and will happily idle away all day on Kerosene. Lister CS6 that runs on the smell of diesel and what collection would be complete with a smattering of Lister D's. I think there's 6 of them about the place. The place is full of horse drawn machinery and there's a Threshing set in the back of one of the sheds as well.

We got fed up of searching round the place to find the lifting chains, They got dropped wherever they were last used, so my dad decided to hang um all up in one place by the gate. I didn't realise how many were knocking around the place until they were all put together.

This wee lady followed us home today, anyone know anything about this model? Told it's 1960,

with a Vendeuvre 2 cylinder engine.
