the plan was to bale for hay today , near as dammit ready to go last night forecast no rain till 5-6pm, heavy shower at 9.am scuppered that plan ,so left to drying in the following sunshine, rowed up and baling to wrap .Then at 4.30pm another black cloud depositing stair rods as baler had about 6 rows left to go , carried on, will have to sell these 25 by weight ,ho ho. its good stuff and better baled than left though, did think we would have topped the sheds up with this as hay, another chance in another field nextmonth

Mowed Monday, left it alone Tuesday, very heavy rain Tuesday night, tedded out Wednesday midday, it was nearly hay just with a few green bits, tedded out again Thursday mid morning, looked at the forecast at midday and made an executive decision to bale immediately! 10 acre bales at 12%, 8 acre at 18%. All in the shed today before the rain, 12% bales in the stack, 18% bales on the shed floor in singles, got temperature probes in them all between 30 and 40 degrees, hopefully they will settle down.

Looked at the forecast on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July looked like a settled week so cut the grass for and thought get the barley cut straw and get hay baled this weekend. Not cut barley since Thursday night still 8Ha to cut. Had 3mm Wednesday night and Thursday night and now 24mm since yesterday. Still got hay to do, but at least I haven't touched it.

Why can't the forcastors get it right, the previous weekend 13th July they predicted rain all day Saturday and only had a shower in the morning people were cutting in the afternoon. This really winds me up.
