Anyone else getting a bit of pneumonia in young lambs ? we are getting a few more than usual this year , about a month old fairly solid lambs , not quite eating creep, see them with neck stretched a bit and next day panting usually end up dead few days after ,too young for pasturella i should think , can only put it down to hot days and very cold nights .

No difference here, cross ewes all done with covexin and pures with heptivac both lots of lambs can get pneumonia pure lambs vaccinated at 4 weeks as well but still get the odd one, normally triplet born lambs or lambs that were a little slow to start to be fair, in saying that all the pure lambs will definitely have colostrum in their belly by an hour old

Getting a few as well but always do. Ewes on Hep p system. Carry metacam or similar with me and also give them the generic equivalent of florkem ( forget what it's called) Sometimes get a result.
