No, but this last 10 days has been pretty ideal, managed to roll it all and got pre ems onto good damp tilth.
This time next year Rodders.....
Since sat aft it’s gone down hill here so just hoping it’s gets it’s sh!t together so I can get my now delivered beans in.

I’ve resisted all this rolling . Reckon with a press on front of tractor and a bloody big packer on power Harrow, it gets rolled enough in the autumn . Time will tell if it’s the right decision, but last year it came very wet and rolled headlands got knackered. Ground will take rain better if not rolled to within an inch of its life .
Every year when we roll I say never again! Lemken ph drill so press wheels give pretty good seed to soil contact, but we have a lot of gravel so I try to roll despite my misgivings. Let 650/65 r42 down to 10psi or less and looks ok at the time but always shows up on this light land. I should just buy a 12m set of rolls and do everything in the spring instead I think. Despite the sand if we get heavy rain the stand can look sad for a while. We plough and press everything so its firm enough underneath.

I have decided on a no rolling unless it's absolutely bone dry rule, So far I am happy with the results.
Depends if using generic kerb.....then astrokerb....then a different generic kerb.

Won’t force W beans in, if push comes to shove, wait until spring, they will be fine.
It’s looking reasonable and the soil is not bad at the moment just wish they had got them here on time. Truck driver said 2 farms that morning had told him to keep them on the truck as they were too late
