Anyone go to Seale Hayne?

I was there way way later, interesting to see the Quad and even the old pig unit buildings- they were still there in my time, I bet that was the bees knees back in the day.

I've seen some interesting vehicles driven up those steps to the Quad mind and a giant tinfoil spoon on top of the tallest point of the Quad, how the heck anyone got it up there remains a mystery to this day.

I dunno what you guys thought of the narration/voice acting, I've spent a lot of time in Devon, Somerset and Dorset and I've never heard a bloke sound like that. Reckon he was either from the Bridgewater area or Cornwall of all places.

Reckon I can near recognise some of those fields if they are truly filmed at Seale Hayne.

I've still got my life member bar membership card in my wallet too.

86-89 for me. The film showed it had changed very little, the Quad especially. Agree old Mr Toosey was probably there in ‘45! Always remember his tale of being on honeymoon and seeing a magnificent field of oats, which on inspection (obviously!) turned out to be wild oats standing over a field of barley! :ROFLMAO:
