I can't believe it's now 41 years since I first headed down to Devon in my rust bucket Moggie pick up. It's like 1940 was then for heaven's sake.

I know what you mean and funnily enough , Yes i think like that sometimes nowadays , 40 yrs back doesn't seem very long ago to me and remembering the times back then sometime feels like yesterday

Then if you compare that to our parents at that time ,for them to be looking back at the War years ,and ok yes they were quite young (early teens) in my case ,hearing them talk about the War is now like us talking about the late 70's early80' s ,sort of like a 'door'or a bridge , even , ..... to another time ....
