Had some ewes from Dingwall a couple of weeks back, found it easy to get to..,.,, phoned & got auctioneer to get them for me!

Stirling Mart, you'd think would be better sign posted..... First time I went there I got near Stirling then just started following auction looking traffic! Did the same at Carlisle.... it's not a fool proof plan though!

I find OBAN mart a nice drive, lochs, small villages , not to busy a road until you have to drive through oban ! out the far side of the town and mart is beside road , easy , only one main road . Dalmally very easy as its on the only main road . Ua STIRLING yes not easy but CALLY mart is harder to find as its in a an industrial area . FORT WILLIAM you have to be looking for the one sign on the main road

Easy to get to Oban mart. Out in the middle of nowhere with nowhere else you can go.

Oban town centre however is like Glasgow Central in rush hour. Permanently.

I think UA just assume that everyone knows where the market is. There's signs out on the roundabouts for the bull sales, but otherwise you have to be psychic. Same for Lanark if you go South from Glasgow. Dalmally is easy too , there's nowhere to get lost in. :)

No it is. :D Just follow the filthy pickups, battered trailers and the drivers in boilersuits and caps and you're never far away! (y)
