Yeah my 90 had taller tyres and a 2" lift.

Just put a £1k order into Paddocks and ebay, still need to put another £1.5k order in for the rest of everything I need to complete the project

Painted a few more bits yesterday inc front wings, door bottoms, rick sliders, floor plates and everything else that needed painting, still waiting for the door tops to arrive yet so once they come they will get done as well

Fitted the new steering box earlier yesterday before work still got to fit the new drag link and ball joints and top the box up with oil which will be done tomorrow inc pic's

Fitted new Galv mud shields and steering box cover today as well as the new crank case breather pipe and the cover that fits over the fuel filler pipe in the tub

Well after deciding that the Mazda RX8 seats won't do and looking at other seats i stumbled across a Defender seat referb kit on ebay and as i have a pair of front seats from my 90 i used to have i decided to order a kit and see what its like and the out come was great so have ordered another one for the other side as well as a matching cubby box.

Is it just lifting the pivot point to reduce overall travel ?

I thought a "slick shift" with a Land Rover would be to sell it

Yeah sort of but a bit more to it than that as there are 2 coil springs that press against 2 bolts that you can adjust the tension of that stiffens the gear lever then at the same time as you said the stroke is shorter making the gear changes easier with no slop in the lever

Fitted the front seats in and cubby box plinth using a centre tray fitted up side down today obviously once the plinth is painted ( limestone ) then i can fit the cobby box to it.
