where did you get the galvy chassis would you recommend them as I've a defender to do soon

Its a Richards chassis i am pleased with it but think a Marsland chassis would be better as i found on both the Defender chassis and the 2a chassis some of the holes was partially blocked with galv both were Richards chassis i have had a Marsland chassis before back in the day when Paddocks used to sell them and it never had that issue :D

Next job is to replace my injection pump.

The engine started life as a Defender 200tdi engine but when i aquired the engine the timing case was damaged where the power steer / alternator bracket bolted to so i decided to redress the engine as a Discovery 200tdi engine but still using the Defender FIP ( fuel injection pump ) and although the engine runs fine it just doesn't have enough grunt both bottom end power and top end power so soon i will be replacing the Defender FIP for a Discovery FIP :)

Pump is all piped up and tested but probably need to get used to it as the Def 200tdi pump was tweaked and the 300tdi pump is std, with the Def pump it pulled away say from lights ok but with the 300 pump it's slightly better and with the 200 pump I couldn't go into top any less than 32 mph as the engine would labour where as with the 300 pump I can go into top at 25 mph which is better but I will give it a better test tomorrow on the motorway and see :)
