Anyone know what this is on a bullock

Seen this on under side of a bullock this evening just in front of back leg.
Anyone know what it is

I had something like that on a steer calf last year and it grew an grew an......!! Had it removed by the vet, didn’t come back 🤷‍♂️

Sarcoid is I believe the correct diagnosis, but the other description of angleberry or wart is also correct. In horses it can be a real problem. Treatments vary, and can be expensive. It can be transmitted.

Years ago , before rubber rings were introduced , the method with them was a length of horsehair to tie them off !. It was surprisingly strong and usually a couple or perhaps three ligatures was enough for them to wither and drop off . And of course it was available on just about every farm , and free too !

This was on a heifer last year, found her bleeding ... put a rubber ring on and it fell off in a few days. Nothing on her now. Old vet said that yrs ago they cut them off, dried them and put them down the animals throat to help the animal fight them off ... I've never tried it tho!

I just use the burdizzo get it over them but don’t get any of the actual skin in it then pinch they usually pop off and don’t bleed spray of blue spray or iodine jobs a goodun obviously wants doing in a crush with a leg up
