What the heck has happened to the high pressure coming in? Supposed to be a nice settled spell this week.
It's pouring with rain here now and the forecast for the week is rubbish!
Can't like but can sympathise.
Trying to finish my reseeding programme is starting to make me tetchy.
Saturday on a boat in Greece for a week, roll on.

2 customers cut for hay on friday and a neighbour I ted for, cut 150 acres for silage.
It chucked it down here (north Wilts ) Sunday night.
I've given up on the last 100 acres of second cut.
Cattle and tack sheep can sort that out.
On a plus side, I got all arable land worked and rolled by Sunday afternoon, in time for a nice watering.
Mother nature has certainly tested everyone and still testing!

I reckon mother nature has abandoned her child at birth this year

Noticed a fair number of part timers haven't even cut some fields this year. I guess fitting in haymaking with work has been extremely difficult this year. Waiting for a fine spell that never arrived!

Someone was telling me yesterday he was doing silage for a chap and he could count 11 fields scattered around the area not cut at all this year. Not for want of weather but because it just wasn't wanted. Good lifers or retired farmers who normally would get neighbours to have it - just not wanted.
That would be @gone up the hill 's general direction.
