Anyone Received Environmental Payments for 2019

The RPA said after the last couple of years failures to get payments out that everything would be on track for both BPS and Stewardship payments. Well it seems that they have done better on BPS but the promise of Stewardship payments being paid on time now looks unlikely.

Has anyone received any payments?

CS is 1 year in arrears at the moment. Had a bridging payment in July and top up in November but still less than we claimed in 2018. 2019 BPS in the bank but no sign of CS nor am I holding my breath for it.

Waiting on mid tier.

Had an email 1st week of December asking for me to call them urgently.

So I do, according to the gent on the phone I had removed parcels from my agreement. So my in-conversion land hadn't transfered to an organic maintenance coding. Its disappeared off the agreement and they wanted to know why I had removed it!
5 mins on the phone discovers it's their error, no apology and I will wage 10% of my claim that I won't see the money hit my bank until the very last days of the payment window DUE TO NO FAULT OF MINE! Interest gratefully received Boris!

BPS was prompt but doesnt look like we’re gonna get 2019 HLs/ELS in 2019.
Although I have lost track of it so for all I know 2018 could still be owing as well!

Had ours a few days before the BPS.... though what period it is for is anybody's guess... It seems ridiculous we are not able to view a statement of payment dates, amounts and the periods they refer to.. The remittance slips are rather inadequate I would need to go through several years of accounts to try to figure out where the recent payments ties in! With seemingly random payment amounts and random timings over the last few years and over lap between starting the current scheme and final payment on the last scheme it would likely take a couple of hours to unpick it!

Madness isn't it. I was discussing these various late/delayed/intermittent payments with my accountant and we agreed "cash accounting" is the only way you can deal with them. He used to try and include the monies owing in the accounts for some clients, but given up as a bad job!

Similar experiences here. We just account for it now when the money goes in.
Problem arose in November though when we received an invoice from them for an over payment of £1500. Couldn't find on any statements where the figure had come from.
Turns out it was from when RPA took over from NE and it was an interim payment that shouldn't have been paid when they synchronised the start dates to match the calendar year.
They've now agreed to deduct it from future payments, which I'm happier with.
I just now treat any HLS payment as a bonus, and certainly won't be rushing to sign up to future schemes.

very much madness!! for all I know they many have overpaid us and will want some back :banghead: I don't even budget for ELS money arriving, have to treat it like a bonus when it does! I wonder what advantage would there be in treating unpaid ELS money as owning anyhow? Surely that would bring it into the profits figure a year earlier than otherwise necessary and thus assuming the business makes a profit, the money is then taxed on a year early? Really I don't think it can ever be owning, if you read the small print on the original agreement ( as least on ours) there is absolutely no commitment as to when ELS money would be paid beyond the initial payment! Contractually I think they could just sit on the money almost indefinably if they ever chose to do so! No wise business man would agree to such terms if it was a contract with another business or induvial.

:) I am taking a similar attitude now.

Me, "Goodness, how nice, the RPA have given us 3 Grand"

Wife, " Why?"

Me, "Dunno really!!"
