is there anyone working at the RPA? anyone seen any money recently? seriously, how hard can it be? 15 yrs in HLS and CS and still a payments system cant be implemented. Amazon didn't exist 15yrs ago.
Well it takes me maybe an hour or two to check and send in the form. Say it takes the same time for them to give it the once over then 1 person could process 4 claims a day, 20 a week 80 a month etc. I hear they have lots of staff so what are they all up to?

Had about 80% of my first year in stewardship paid earlier in the week.
Maybe the lazy snakes at the RPA have just realised that in a few weeks time this year's claims are going to be arriving by the thousands and so it might actually be a good time to bottom that huge pile of last year's claims!

Nothing for HLS/ELS 2019 yet.

Me neither.

Only 6 weeks ago they finished working through checking my 2018 HLS claim which took the guy most of his 5 days a week he works, for the net result they paid me an additional £10 on top of the capital amount they bulk paid alot of people 6 months earlier. How is that efficient use of resources?

Presuming they are going to bulk pay the 2019 payment again and then check the claims through as and when? Guessing alot of staff are either at home working(?) or deployed to other covid type tasks...

Still nothing here and getting very fed up as we have paid out for all of last years work and now paying for this year. There was a reason why we signed up to a contract to pay 80% in December of the year we started followed by 20% in June.
When the RPA took it over and said it would make it more efficient and just pay once a year, what a joke that was. The problem with these schemes is that they have an ongoing cost and cashflow is needed.

Nothing here either. When I got an email a few months ago saying they were having trouble accessing the information on my schemes and could I remind them what they were... I knew there were going to be problems :nailbiting:

My agent said about 50% of the people he spoke too had that email, including me.

I rang the RPA and they admitted to me that anyone who had an inspection will be amongst the last to be paid - they pay the easy straight forward ones first. My inspection was over a year ago and they said they haven't got the report on file yet! June is supposedly the latest payment date so hopefully not much longer to wait.

Their biggest problem like the NHS is there is no matron, no boss, no one taking responsibility , to slap wrists, to deliver results in a timely and correct manner. The army are helping out the nhs logistics cos they literally cannot organise themselves to get a box of masks from a to b.

I phoned then this morning and was told the last update for March was they had paid 37%.
They told me there will be no bridging payments so that means we will all have to wait until the end of June to be paid.
The whole CS scheme is a complete shambles and as I had an inspection two years ago which they completely cocked up and sent me £8.40 the other day as a correction. They do not need to check these schemes they do not alter much from year to year.

Bloody annoyed with the whole shower of them.

It could all be so simple if they tried.

I am so pi55ed about this, I've put 3 years of my time and money into CS and been paid one year. Listening in the tractor to local radio yesterday and all the small businesses ringing in saying how great it was that gov paid them their corvid 19 grants so quickly, some within days showed how where there's a will there is a way. It also brought into sharp focus how totally crap and unfit for purpose the RPA are!
