Anyone use manure as bedding?

I recently saw an article on Facebook that was encouraging manure recycled as bedding. This is very interesting and was wondering whether anyone actually does this? I’m guessing getting rid of the moisture would be critical to reduce the amount of bacteria growing, ideally with none at all. This isn’t really relative to me as we are outdoor based system, just interested and could it be utilised in a composting barn type situation?
Soft bed cubicles just with hull muck out of calf pens which is mainly straw, then clean straw on top cows love them just they soon need filling like sand

We could, have a little Redpath herd-home which completely dries out (I can run sprinklers over summer to keep it composting) and I would eat my dinner in there. It's just dry manure and woodchip

Haven't really needed to put cattle inside for a couple of years and it will probably end up used as a big garden before it holds cattle again!

It's feasible to do it with the "solar kiln" type of structure but it would be a dark, gloomy swamp if it was done in a stone barn, or similar
