It's Grainstore cleaning time again.
Of course we've never, ever had a trace of any rodent in our Grainstore, but if one was to think of climbing up an area of concrete blocks, would standard anti-climb paint stop them?
But you have to then check them regularly?Sticky pads are better.

I was thinking of it as a low imput prevention measure, rather than an active "control"So what?
Ah, OK.The anti climb paint here does have a ‘skin’ to it to prevent birds etc becoming contaminated, so i presume rodents just walk on it.
The rats I have here would get their climbing gear, ropes and carabiners out. No problem. They are cleverer than me.What about some guttering fixed around the wall with the bow outwards?
They‘d have a job to climb over that.
No problems, Mr Rat will just chew through it!What about some guttering fixed around the wall with the bow outwards?

Or this.No problems, Mr Rat will just chew through it!
Looks good, so long as rattus rattus doesn’t find a way around it , to get on top and then chew through for his buddies to take the direct route.Or this.
Surfaces Rats Can't Climb
Single-sheet plastic: If you're wondering what can rats not climb up, the answer is they are foiled by anything that is extremely slippery. One way to stop a rat from climbing your walls is to install a slick surface over your existing wall.
