Anyone using a Discaerator on heavyish land ?

Bob ,we had a sumo ,discarator ,type machine , ,,sold it ,as hell of a weight and hard on tractor linkage ,
So bought the knight c press which is similar to all the short disc type machines , do it with that ,then low disturbance subsoiler with following coil ,for light ,medium soil and a dd type press for heavier land , keeps the tilth on top and low disturbance subsoiler does not bring big lumps up
A weaving subdisc maybe worth a look ,lighter and easier pull

Neighbour uses a Discerator on predominantly clay, does a great job.

Look at a Terrano type machine, ducksfoot tines followed by a packer, they're extremely popular for a reason.

My neighbour has one also , going down tomorrow to borrow it .... oops .

On our ground once the ground is broken down it must be sown , if it gets wet basically you're fooked .

Is your land heavy BG ground?
I bought a trio and thought it was the best thing ever. However, a number of years later the BG was out of control :(.
Obvious really, as you mix the seeds through the entire top soil profile so whatever herbicide program you use, there are plenty of seeds safe, waiting for their chance.

I use a discorator. smaller packer than the trio hence it is lighter. pull it with nh 7.210 at about 9-10k and in my opinion does a better job its a 7 leg auto reset . powerharrowdrill straight in behind
