im looking for a cattle handling system and wondered if anyone had any thoughts what was best?
Anyone using iae rotex?

I looked at one and it depends what your going to be doing with it, if you want a mobile system then it works fine but if your planning on leaving it in one place then a fixed one is proberbly better as its larger in diameter, I thought the rotex was a little small and you wouldn't really fit more than about 4 cattle in the forcing system and for the money a fixed system would be far cheaper. It also requires 2 people to erect it and cost wise it's £2700.

Ordered a cattle crowder off mep engineering today. think it will be easier to manage been a solid set up and I'd have to take the loadall if I was moving either setup so it would be easier just to unload it in one bit.

I don't think the rotax is high enough to stop stressed stores putting their legs over the sides, is a lot of money for what it is, was thinking of trying to bend some 100x 100 box into place onto some concreted posts to act as the centre bolt receiver rail and thinner stuff above and below
Then rivet some stock board to it.
