Anyone with a parlour in the cubicle shed

About to embark on building a new shed and I’ve done some search on here and seen a few with parlours in the cubicle shed, think this is a great idea, especially in bad weather.

One reservation I do have is do any of you guys get flys being an issue with cubicles being so near?

Doesn't the milking area have to be separate from the housing area to comply with Dairy Regs?

Or the whole area has to be as clean as the parlour..
Our 230 cows in the herd are housed under the same roof as the parlour, I've never heard of these regulations and we've passed 2 yearsfarm assurance ! The collecting yard is kept open when not milking and it's good space for the cows to wander around and promote bulling activity. I would hate to have the parlour in a separate shed as the cubicles!

Flys through the summer are a slight pain but they would be a pain no matter what surely. As soon as the cows are milked they go and lie down or eat or drink water or do what they would normally do.

Flys are a problem when the cows are at grass. Or is this for a housed herd?
