Apples wanted for Cider.

Hello I am new to the forum , I have recently built a press due to my love of rough cider and “The wurzels” and I am looking to buy apples for cider at a fair price. I live in Southampton. I would be most grateful for any tips on this matter. Many thanks, Glyn.

There is a website called something like "orchardlink". Various people post wanted ads and ads for apples available. Don't think it even operates at this time of year, you would struggle to be more out of season than right now.

There is a web site called orchadlink, like you say I don't think has adds this time of year.

There was someone selling apples in dumpy bags.
I managed to get a few pickup loads local. Cider did not turn out to bad.

We would have some available for next season but you would have to come and harvest them yourself. We are 10 miles northwest of Yeovil (Somerset)

Chap who gave me a sample of his home brew once 🤯😜 collected apples from a dozen or so local gardens , all shapes and sizes but made bloody lovely stuff. One pint made your whole face tingle 🤪🤪
Very few of the gardens near me seem to actually pick their apples so I'm sure there is plenty scope for the OP to get his quota this way.

That’s sounds great, we spend a lot of time in Somerset. Obviously we’ll pay you for them . Thank you very much for your reply. Glyn 😊

Just PM me closer to the time. So many apples get wasted and it’s a real shame.
