Situation Vacant Arable Sales Specialist - North Wales

The Opportunity: Are you a proven agricultural salesperson, eager to leverage your expertise and drive success by optimising performance and output for farmers? We are searching for an Arable Sales Specialist who will work collaboratively across a team, securing sales whilst delivering robust technical advice and solutions to farmers maximising productivity. An experienced salesperson with strong relationship skills, you will implement a hands-on, farmer focussed approach, fully understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions by leveraging the portfolio of products and services our client offers. Covering the North Wales area, you will be happy on the road visiting farmers, working with the wider team to achieve business objectives and sales targets.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To deliver expert technical advice to farmers on agronomy, fertiliser usage, crop selection, and preservation
  • To implement effective sales strategies to achieve budgeted targets on a range of arable products
  • To actively build and maintain relationships with farmers understanding their arable requirements
  • To work in collaboration with the area account managers, providing dual support and advice when required
  • To network and engage with the farming community, identifying new business opportunities
  • To promote and advise on the full range of services offered by the business
  • To routinely monitor and use the CRM functions, identifying trends, sales strategies and sales reports
  • To work collectively with the team to maximise brand exposure and presence e.g. customer events
Skills you will need:
Essential:

  • Proven experience in agricultural sales
  • A strong knowledge of arable farming and agronomy with an understanding of animal nutrition
  • Driven and motivated to achieve sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident relationship builder who can cultivate and develop long term business relationships
  • Has the ability to disseminate and deliver technical information across a range of audiences
  • A strong team player, who can work collaboratively across the whole business
  • Highly organised and motivated, able to manage own diary
  • Willingness to work independently and collectively as a team
  • Confident with IT packages and CRM systems
  • UK driving licence with the desire to travel in the allocated territory
Desirable:

  • BASIS and FACTS qualified
