No it won’t definitely be steer ready just because it has the larger screen. You will have to check thought the screen to see what’s unlocked. Or see if it’s got the steering valves near the battery.Anyone knows if newer 6R - 6155R and 6145R with big screen are AT Ready or not connected with the screen size ?
It’s not too hard to find the activations on the screenThanks, that is the answer I did not want to hear
yes sorry, that's what I meant, as above look for the sensor if in dout....Autotrac ready is steer ready. You mean green star ready
I think the button will be there on all command arm models not sure about non command arm. I wouldn’t just look for the steering angle sensor either as that is used for the 4wd aswell so I think they all could have a sensor. Can’t you just look for the autosteer engage button That’s based on 30 series. Or do all 6r’s have the button regardless of whether it’s autotrac ready?
Is Autotrac not the GPS steering? Or is what you’re saying they specced a model with the GPS capabilities but not with the steering valves needed? Seems like it wouldve made more sense to buy the replacement wheel module that physically steers the wheel rather than spending thousands to take the cab apartI had a 2017 6155R with large screen and autotrac guidance but not autosteere! I traded it after 1 year. The guy that purchased it spent thousands and literally tore the tractor cab etc apart to make it autosteere capable. They (the Jd dealer) used my new JD6155R as a guide on how to do it as it had full autosteere on it. They had to have whatever valves and hoses and sensors routed around the front and under the cab. I thought he would have been better off buying new!

I did it to a 6430. Just over 6kSome people dont want to have ATU wheel if they are used to Autotrac, me included.
It is pretty stupid to do that job IMO, it costs 10k or more.
I wouldn’t be surprised. Thing is we couldn’t find an AT ready 6430 with other spec we wanted at the time so had no choice. As it’s turned out it’s probably still worth what it’s cost us but I’m not sure, as you say, that it would be on for anything that costs more in the first placeI was thinking in € but I am sure 6R set is more than 6k.
