Are any TFF members neighbours of Sarah Beenys house?

I used to live a mile from there and still know most of the local character's. Most don't object, it's their money and land to do as they wish, within reason. When I was told who was objecting, it was a who's who of the usual suspects. Retired relocators who try and stop any development including ag. I know the driller is localish. It did make me chuckle a bit when she was worried about money. They have four boys at one of the most expensive schools in the country.

no wonder! That’s£160k of taxed income each year!

Is it just me that's horrified of building a house out of polystyrene?
Thought that stuff was banned from houses decades ago.

thunk it’s called ICF. The concrete carried the load, thr polystyrene is cheap and lasts ages offering the insulation needed.

often used in pool construction too

Cheap, and burns like feck giving off some of the most noxious fumes I've ever encountered.
Absolutely ridiculous building houses from it.
If you're gonna build a country house do it right, and don't scrimp on the build costs.
I doubt the massive mansions still standing had any polystyrene in them.
There's other options for insulation and they're a lot safer than polystyrene.

Heard about their rejected loads of runny concrete. We happened to have a couple loads of that as well in Sept, in white lorries. Was a bit interesting laying it on a slope! Should have rejected it really. Ours was supposed to be from Bridgwater but it did take a long time getting to us...

Manson' esk on the cheap?
Nothing "Green" about it?
Joke to the planning system and hoops and laws most got to go through or follow or get refused because of !
One good thing is it has set a precedent in the area so how can they refuse others wanting the same with the same Council and Councillors????
