immediate thought is yes they are........however is that right?

Looking at renting a Unit to a couple to store household stuff since they downsized and don't want to sell it yet (hoarders I guess as they downsized 10years ago and stuff been in storage since then, current unit yard being sold for development, have checked out the story and it is correct)

Have a fixed address, both work for companies, she works in admin, he's a lorry driver.

However neither have a bank account! Say they don't trust them!

I can't get my head around how they can make that work!?

How do they pay bills, council tax etc etc....

They are happy to pay the rent asked and never even asked for the VAT to be knocked off which is the usual sign of 'do it for a bit of cash guvner'!

He says he can go to the post office to transfer the money to us each month, as I said I'd want it paid direct to our account trying to suss if they were dodgy....

Have to say I think they are genuine, but have never heard of or met anyone without a bank account........

Any thoughts?

If they a post office account, then get them to. Put three months on credit. If he is genuine, I’d call his company and ask how they pay him. They won’t be able to tell but if they say “what on earth are you on about, we can’t reveal “Davert’s” details then you will know his a pulling your plonker. If they say “ oh yes, erm, well we can’t duscuss that” then you know Davert is good!
Remember if they pay you in cash to please declare it! Or take half of the profits of their dodgy storage and transporting business as sush money
