Are potato’s still fit for lifting?

Neighbour in village has been attempting to lift some potato’s in last few days, will they be ok, I would have thought they would have rotted by now

We have lifted them in May before now. They hadn’t come to harm but hadn’t been waterlogged. Made nice chips but fry colour was quite brown. Harvester rubbed the sprouts off and any frosted ones had disintegrated. No worse than bagging them out of a grave.

Got a bag of fresh lifted saffire yesterday ,,nothing wrong with them ,,bottom of the field was still a no go but up hill was perfect

Hopefully have a go at our 23 acres that are left to lift. Might have difficulty getting pickers for the harvester and grading line....

Dyson's still lifting yesterday in Lincs. Darker colour but didn't look too bad.
