I suppose if you want to be whiter than white you could allways get the NPTC certificate for fert spreaders (that's if they're still around  )

I go to a farm where there are dozens of staff. They have a "Safe Stop" policy, whereby you have to stop your engine every time you leave the cab.

It's good to a point, but my spreader needs to be left running whilst loaded so that it can pump more air into the airbags to adjust for the increasing load. They wanted to press on with cultivating, I said I could just leave the lime on the headland and send them a bill for it if they wanted.

They saw sense. I don't get mithered any more. But I have a feeling the staff are all told to give me a wide berth!!

Or maybe I need different deodorant....

No need for a Pa4g or any other qualification to apply fertiliser currently so the consultant is talking out of his backside. As a few people on here are now aware of I am an instructor for Pa4g/s amongst other things so if the consultant doesn't believe you then feel free to send him in my direction.

There was talk about introducing a qualification for fertiliser application but nothing has ever come of it..........yet!
