for a different road run google FULL MOON TRACTOR RUN AT RHAYADER on march 23rd thoughts anyone?
while i can see the pleasure in some vintage tractor owners want in to go out for a run, and raise money for charity, then that is all good and well, and sight of seeing old tractors will please a lot who see them on route, and the police will be ok about it too, however a run with all modern tractors with loads of flashing lights with many in convoys, will only get the backs up of the general public and the police, so no i do not agree with all modern stuff on a run

How is a tractor run any different too a marathon? ... next week half of my town is closed for a half marathon you won’t be able to get anywhere for road blocks and idiots running around like bell ends on acid ...
Couldn’t think of anything worse to do with my free time... I’m sure they’d think the same about a farmer going for a jolly out on a tractor and slowing a few roads down....

I spent a day last year polishing up our oldest TM (oldest tractor on the farm at 19) for a road run. Made it look as smart as I could. Seen tractor road runs go past us several times and have always wanted to join in thinking it would be a bit of fun and Show off a tractor that although not mint was fairly tidy and I was proud of as it has served us well for a long time now.

It was a pleasant enough day out but none of the other participants was the slightest bit interested in my tractor and a few even looked down there noses at me turning up in such a monster. It probably didn’t help that I didn’t know anyone there but just didn’t feel welcome somehow.

I paid entry and made sure I chucked some more money in the bucket as it was for a good cause.

Next year I will just watch.

We've let them use our farm, as a stop off point to stop for break and have lunch.

I agree mostly knob heads. They wouldn't even take me or kids. Won't do it again.

Think most of them are non farmers and have a bit of a chip on there shoulders about actual farmers.
