We have often had Remainers cite civil servants in the discussion about Brexit, generally along the lines of 'The Permanent Secretary to the XXX* Dep't has stated that there will be insufficient XXX in the event of a no-deal Brexit'. This being accepted on the presumption that the Civil Service is apolitical and the comments of its senior members are to be trusted... Well, on that basis, here is some more helpful news:

It's obvious the civil service and most of the government don't want the UK to leave. Where else would wasters like Neil Kinnock retreat to?
