Are the days of lambing inside numbered?

Vets are at fault for supplying it or at very least not asking lots of question.

Local shepherd was very pee’d off when my vet refused to let him have his pre-lambing Alamycin. Then even more pee’d off when they explained that he should have vaccinated them before tupping instead.

I don’t really understand the thought behind jabbing ab’s routinely for Enzootic these days, particularly since the cost has more than doubled recently. The EAE vaccine only costs a little over one shot of Alamycin now, and only needs doing once.
Obviously treatment in the face of an outbreak is a different matter.
