Are we heading for another dry spring?

Cows out for 5 days just dry enough now . Plenty of moisture yet .Ask in a weeks time might be different .No fert to wash in .Sun doing its job grass been growing well .

We’d need over an inch of rain here now to make any difference to dry cloddy seedbeds. Clay dries slowly, but it wets slowly.
It’s wet underneath though so provided I’ve got things in deep enough they should have a fighting chance without further rain. I don’t think we’ll get any TBH. As the old boys say, it never rains in a dry time. Adapt to it.

Everything here looks full of promise at the moment, so it wouldn't surprise me if we've seen the end of the rain until September now.

That said, this year seems more like 2017 or 2019 so far which means dry until June then unsettled until September.

It’s springs like this that put me off a lot of bird seed and pollinator options. Small shallow drilled seeds, late spring, no chance of a decent take here.
