I haven't been abusive to walkers despite some of them leaving gates open including some that are far away from any footpath, having fences shoved down, cattle let out, vandalism, litter and dog sh1t left about, sheep chased.
More fool me perhaps I should start telling them what I think.

At least you can escort them back to the footpath down south. In Scotland they have 'right to roam'

A few weeks ago we became aware of a local 'lady' who stalks people, after she started parking in our field gateways and filming the farm and passing traffic, at multiple times of the day between 9am to 11pm.
Mrs PSQ phoned the police, who came out and said they have been aware of this persons behaviour for over a decade, but there wasn't much they could do under Scottish legislation as her actions 'don't cross the line into criminal behaviour'. They suggested that we lock our doors, as due to the absence of trespass legislation in Scotland "it's not illegal to open an unlocked door and walk into someones house, unless property is moved" (Police Scotland).

Anyway, she no longer parks in the gateway up from the farm entrance, as a tonne block of sandstone has taken up residence. She's moved to the next gateway 600 yards away; no direct line of sight to the farm buildings, but at least it's given us a chance to talk with our kids about 'mental health'.

I think you could have fun scaring her. If you can legally open an unlocked door and go inside you could sneak up on her and get in the passenger side of her car.
I think if we has stalkers like that they would be more scared of us than us of them.

I do not believe it is illegal to walk into anyones house if the door is unlocked. And no crime is committed until you have their TV outside the garden gate

Christ, that's incredible that someone can walk into your house uninvited!

The countryside is fast becoming a free amusement park for those too tight to pay the entrance fee at Alton Towers.
There won't be much stomach at government level to change this unfortunately.
Stomach to change? This is what they want! All parties are in competition with one another to increase the production of fluffy unicorns and idyllic vistas to the urban masses.

Jeremy whine is doing a piece on this on radio 2, coming up in the next hour, hopefully someone will ask him if he’d be friendly to some pillock wandering round his garden!
