Are you a member of Facebook,Twitter or both.
Forgot to say I am not a member of either, but that may be me being suspicious of both as I am 70.

Find Facebook good [and free] for selling and buying stuff locally. I'm not aware of being signed up with any other accounts, but you never know who's looking......:pompous:

Times have moved on a pace, since the local red phone box was all the comms we had available....

Fb is brilliant for selling. All I use.
TFF is a total waste of time
It could have been the items were fecking useless 🤷🏻‍♂️
Used FB for years but stopped around 3 years ago as adverts were coming up for stuff that me and the wife would be talking about verbally without our phones in use, ie a holiday to Togo and the next time we were on FB it would show “trip to Togo for £££”
Twitter I joined as a lot of vets/scientists and boffins with some really good information were on it but like others I’m not that clued up on how it actually works..
Instagram I mainly use now
I've had some success with Facebook, it's just you have to spend a lot of time weeding out numpties. " Keep xxxx back for me " , never to be seen again. " Would you take £12.50 M8 ? " for something advertised for £10k. " Has the hay got grass in it ? ". " I can get the same off ebay for £1k cheaper ". Well why don't you then. Lots of " Get it bought Johny " tags which amount to feck all.
Also the local farmer and smallholder page has been infiltrated by caravan born entrepreneurs, just to add more hassle to the whole sorry business............

Didn't even notice when Fb went down during the week and wouldn't even care if it still wasn't going today but did miss whatsapp though.. had to attach a pdf in an email instead of just whatsapping it... the horror!

Tiktok is king of all social media right now although some on here would recoil in horror with some of the stuff that's on it.

Instagram still is a fun place if you ignore all the fake guru's and farmers who want to teach the world with phrases like "feeding cow chow".. shut up your face for fs.

Id say that the likes of TFF is more guilty of being a bullying platform than Facebook.
Mainly because people's family, friends associates witnes what is posted, whereas on here people can anonymously post what they like.

twitter sufferers from farming cliques all blowing smoke up each others arses inflating ego to levels not seen elsewhere on the internet - they can be terrible bully’s yet then tweet about “being nice” “depression “ etc ….. ironically !

tweets of today’s breakfast or announcing every visit to the toilet like we all care seem to be seen as important news by some often with astonishing numbers of followers given the bland nature of their content

mostly. virtue signal central for NFU fanboys and “gis a job” ass lickers 🤣

great sport as i say !

Slightly off topic, I do wonder if sadly some get confused as to the fine line , between the words, bullying, discipline and criticism.
Sadly I think that is why society is becoming so weak as no one can’t stand being criticised or disciplined they are in some people’s eyes being bullied.
As I am not on Facebook or Twitter I assume there must be a few vindictive nutters on their which one needs to ignore at the first instant.

If members of society whoever they are or think they are, think they are so say being bullied for goodness sake just ignore the social media members who are so say bullying one.Seems to me society have got unwittingly addicted to some social media platforms they just can’t live without it. It is especially easy to ignore someone on TFF , simply pressing the “ignore”button facility.
Completely agree.
At the same time it seems impossible for some to not engage yet they want to cry victim when people bite back, some just don't have the sense.

You really only get as deep as you allow yourself to get.
If you have FB and you use it for wishing happy birthdays, and staying in touch with what's going on in the lives of those who you're not regularly speaking to you're unlikely to get much grief, if you go on being forceful with opinion and being hugely critical of others there is a world of people who are prepared to dedicate a lot of their day to arguing, and every one of them is always right.

There's some good specific groups on facebook, Plant and machinery fitter groups etc, hobby groups for RC cars as an example were you can learn stuff, buy and sell etc, van and car groups etc, when i had an iveco i was on an iveco group, now i got a MAN TGE i'm on a VW crafter/Man TGE group which can be quite useful with people reporting on there modifications and problems they have had and how to fix them etc.

There is pretty much a group for everything and if you cant find one then you can always create your own!

Facebook- yes. It’s ok. Bit of a time waster.
I’d happily delete it but my wife likes tagging me in pictures so I’m not allowed to. The local town group is quite entertaining. I confess there’s a couple of local businesses I no longer use because of their behaviour on there….A cafe owner who basically had a massive rant at the whole town for not using her cafe (it’s not a very good cafe), the remainer hairdresser who is just on there every single day endlessly moaning, and lastly the owner of a lovely independent bookshop who sadly seems to have had her mind twisted by the eco-loons and regularly shouts about farming destroying the planet. I’m glad to say the last one pretty much gets shot down every time by others.

Twitter is a now a cesspit of misery and hate with weirdos of all hues shouting at each other. I’m got an account when I was very involved with NFYFC. I feel I should keep it now as I am an NFU rep but if it wasn’t for that I’d be off it.

I’m not on any others- waste enough time as it is!
