Arla

For Arla producers in the north, remember the conference tomorrow at Carlisle Racecourse.

Good chance to meet the team and question management.

Slido app will be in operation so you can ask a question via your mobile phone if you don't want to stand up and ask.

Can anyone wanting to go please register online. In the south Exeter is already full but there are places available at Stoneleigh where Peter Tuborgh (arla ceo) will present.

I will be there, how did the conference go on Friday?

Was a good vibe around the room. Plenty of good questions, 90% using slido which helped grouping similar questions together making the answers more joined up. Ash was on good form and Jan Toft Nørgaard gave a good assessment of where we are now and what the issues we face going forwards both good and bad.

@bar718 could you give a brief summary of what was discussed for those of us that were unable to make it please?

Ash talked about his new role and how it is different from his previous roles in Arla. Jan talked about how Arla is doing globally and where the challenges are both here in the uk ( Brexit ) and abroad and what he thinks the milk price will do with all the market signals pointing to a downwards movement. Their was a speaker who I have forgotten the name of telling us about how the different brands are doing, not just the headline ones but also the failures as not all new brands succeed but also he told us of how much the different brands are worth in profitability.
Graham spoke about Arla 360 and the uk farming picture then John Cook gave a brief speech about the up coming elections next spring.
