Disappointment of the day. Bought two Cravendale 2x2 litres blue top milk ,as we are under TB restrictions, opened the first this morning, was like whitewash, tea this afternoon, tried the second, just the same.Yuck. Rang customer services, sorry we shut at 4pm! With the uplift in the World auction price perhaps they're skimming all the fat off!:mad:
An update.I rang customer helpline yesterday,a helpful lady took the batch number, said they'll look into it and sending some coupons out.

I don't understand why we would have any problems ,am I missing something?

Maybe I'm reading it wrong then.
As far as I can see I need to show 3 months worth of dct purchases.
Which I can't do as I buy the amount I need for dry off as a one off.
Also as none will have been used in those 3 months, I have no evidence to show.
So a double fail:scratchhead:

Just show your medicine records and if asked your purchases of DC for the last year. My vet now writes the actual dc bought in the previous year as a % of cows into our annual review which seems to tick the boxes

You just show the whole year, no problem. Surely when they do a reconciliation of tubes bought, used and left at the end they should be happy .

Just a reminder everyone I know Arla are keeping at us but make sure you’ve signed all documents. Thought I had but just done the 3” and accessibility documents.

Thats what I thought, how do you interpret this out of interest?
It's the minimum 3 months of purchasing that has me scratching my head. I would need to show 3 years worth to get that:ROFLMAO:.

No plan to make buffer tank compulsory. It only needs a certain percentage of farmers to sign up so the tanker has somewhere they can go at 'milking time' to carry on collecting.
Not much help if the next farm along the road isn't able to be collected though, is it? I'm not against it, having seen the intake at Aylesbury empty at 11 am, and full later on, it completely makes sense to stagger transport.

As more farmers sign up to independent collection more savings can be made. Even if there’s only a few signed up on a route, these can be collected early or later depending on how transport see the best way to utilize them.
You can never make 5 10 20 percent savings but if you can make 100 1% savings it all adds up to reducing costs.

Spoke to one of the transport team yesterday. It came up they’ve been trialling twin rear start artics on a control instead of linked to steering from continent. It could get into an extra 42 farms up here where 6 wheelers are going currently. Phenomenal difference I’d say and another nice wee bit of efficiency thinking.

The milk swap that’s happening with lactalis now makes a lot of sense to
