Whilst its common to hold a number of commercial directorships and also take a role with an industry "body", it is extremely hard to demonstrate there is not a direct conflict of interest let alone demonstrate a completely unbiassed view/approach and requires an extremely disciplined approach.
Quite a few of us on here represent producers in one way or another, but do not resort to continually criticising other milk buyers

What rumours is this then? do tell me?

I thought if I throw a bit of mud some would stick , seems to work for you .

Can you just say whether you are actually a board member of OMSCO or not instead of trying to hide the fact as you have had plenty of chances to say yes but you still try and hide the fact . Straight answer would be appreciated please as you have had plenty of chances to yes or no but yet you still decide to evade answering the question .

Exactly, farmer reps with either industry bodies or milk buyers are obviously dairy farmers and some manage to keep a foot in both camps to great affect, its hard but not impossible.

Thanks @jade35 for the tip about cheese by post. I think 6kg of Tickler will see me through until New year.

Llandyrnog had an open day today and thought it would be good for the daughter to see where our milk goes, poped by the cheese shop before going home, not much choice there at the moment, (they only sell what they produce in llandyrnog ) but have been told there are plans to stock other Arla products. Not quite your 6kg block Cows 'n grass, but should keep me going for a week or two :)

There should be some currency due yes, but there is still some money to recoup, that UKAF need to balance the books from April's Arla amba's reduction.
But yes I do hope we will see an improvement, if we don't I think we see a serious amount of people looking to move with the local processors paying 2ppl more at the moment.
We also need to look at the currency smoothing mechanism as I don't think it is working as 8 quarters is to long in my opinion, but Foab has questioned the board at the last meeting in Denmark about possible changes, of which they weren't very keen?!

If and when we see a price rise I hope to see the while lot on the BF element of the price. With SMP still at intervention prices and butter price sky high it seems silly that they would pay any more for protein.

Doesn't suit me in the slightest Cows n Grass, however it does sound sensible given the circumstances.
