You lot need to tell your liason managers to get the milk price up. Give them a good cussing. Arla are lagging behind Friesland Campina and they shouldn't be as there both coops, its stopping my Muller price from increasing.

Three choices from what I can see:-
Ask Muller for one of those nice 'dedicated' contracts - they cannot be that difficult to obtain, surely:rolleyes:

Join Arla and you can tell them yourself:)

and the one that is most relevant to you at the moment,
Tell your Muller area representative, the MMG farmer board or your Muller farm supply manager how you feel about the current milk price level(y)

https://www.muller.co.uk/farmers/farmer-representation
The new MMG representative structure is based on a 21 member elected Farmer’s Forum who are responsible for electing the Farmer Board. Müller will consult regularly with the MMG Farmer Board on all matters relating to milk supply including milk price, operational terms and operational procedures.

@farmer on a bike, I have noticed on Facebook now that none of Arla's posts feature cows anymore, since then I have also noticed there are no abusive messages from these extremists vegans either! Was that a conscious decision by Arla to leave out the cows to stop getting all this negative crap from the vegans?

I have not been told about any changes but I do know that part of the issue was that facebook's algorithms placed Arla adds into the facebook feeds of vegans. This was having the effect of winding the vegans up, as in general these people were not looking for Arla, just getting it put in their face. I know Arla were trying to work out how to avoid that so I would guess they have succeeded.

What's this about arla giving you an extra penny a litre if you condition score your cows and have good longevity or something along those lines.
Arla garden plus. Have to put some basic info up on Arla page like if you breed replacements, number of cubicles, square meterages etc.. Check cows are clean, lesions or swelling, condition score, and locomotion score. They are only interested in any that have issues. Also they want access to bcms. I guess they'll see how many cows are calving, cows gone cull and casualties. In return for doing this every quarter we will get 1 eurocent or .82/.83ppl so nearly £8500 for million litre producer. My other half has done a few now and took less than 3 hours or £50. Not bad...... but still to be 100% convinced if extra money will materialise or will this be the new normal??

More the end consumers and supermarkets are asking these questions more often and the truth is Arla hasn't a clue. With this information they will be able to give answers and they feel this will give them a distinct advantage in the market place.
