We had a vet visit at our last breakdown. Nov 16. Found the information supplied most helpful and useful.

I don't think they make anything up but it is done on a risk assessment basis.
It does at times feel like they make it up as they go along, think we've heard about everything we can do to slow down the spread of tb and most we do but with cattle out at grass as much as possible I think pushing water up hill is easier (n).

Yes I believe we did decide to take on 1 new entrant because there were some circumstances that made the UKAF board decide it was the right thing to do.
Renting a farm from an area rep

Edit
Seriously the lad needs a leg up. More shoild be encouraged imho.
All dairy companies should allow a handful of genuine new start ups every year.

I certainly am not aware that point 1 is true, however as a board we do agree with the sentiment of point 2.

It is a result of the unethical behaviour of himself and the emerald board. Hope he is not being made a scapegoat- there are others involved and although he was the main perpetrator they should all be held accountantable.

Your only jealous he didn't join omsco. ;)
To be fair where he's milking he needs all the help he can get its proper moor ground as in under water if it rains.

I think the least the Arla owners now deserve is a letter of explanation from the Chairman. And quickly too. Although Emerald is entirely separate from Arla, the same individuals are involved in both.

Good corporate governance is essential to the reputation of any business. It is difficult to earn but very easily lost. Mr Potter might have picked up some information from one side, but his interests are not the same as that of the Arla amba owners.

I agree I think we should treat individuals as being innocent until proven guilty. Presumable the relevant authorities are looking into the real facts and once they have formed an opinion we will be in a position to judge for ourselves.
