And some I would say , but even at 3p that £30k to a million litre producer, yet it's defended by Sid, staggering I would say !

I hope you were this vocal when your price was linked to conventional...yet others kept the organic market seperate ....to the benefit of the whole organic market eventually!

I'm not being vocal at all Sid , I think Omsco do a great job as I repeatedly state , I am just highlighting your vocal hypocrisy and your continued desire to put others down

My business has changed shape and size several times. But i have never managed to grow and cut costs at the same time.

@Sid I expect your numbers on your second unit look far better in the second year than the setup year
Growing and cutting costs are virtually impossible! Unless you have a very good part time job bringing in 100k!

Some basic facts that appear to be misinterpereted from my understanding.

Arla plan on saving £350 million over the next three years. Therefore they aim on saving £115 million a year on 10 billion turnover. They are looking at Knocking 1% of turnover off costs. This is well worth having but trimming by 1 % is not huge.

I am sure most diary farmers have managed to trim much more than 5% of tunrnover off their costs in the last 18 months (1.5 -2ppl), so who were the part of the industry that were inefficient.

@farmer on a bike please correct me if I have understood this wrong.

It might be worth looking back over the last few years to see how much cost has been stripped out of the business already, only then do we realise that this is a massive challenge that has been set by the business to save this amount of money as the obvious cost saving exercises have already been done.
