I am glad you have finally realised this and I applaud your decision. It takes a fair measure of moral courage to admit such a thing, well done. (y)
It was you who was digging a hole for yourself.I havent a clue what you mean about patronising the Welsh.Up here we sometimes use the term boyo, which has the same meaning as "mate",but used in a more friendly way.

Well capable of digging a hole for myself.
Well capable of making a poor argument.
Well capable of being critical on a macro level of a system, government, institution, system, public figure. Public figures are fair game as they are just that .... public figures.
Yes, I do provoke and stir it up ....... it’s a public discussion / debate forum ..... stirring it and being provocative is an essential part of the fun and craic on here....
However I do not resort to direct personal attacks on another poster. Would NEVER call anybody a liar or an idiot. Under no possible circumstances would I ever EVER accuse any other poster of being dishonest. I would engage robustly but there are places I do not aim punches at never mind land them!!!

As for me patronising the Welsh ..... I’m befuddled.

However I’m here if my own free will. It gets tetchy at times. I can take it ... and come back for more.

Speaking of Arlene, she of the “crocodile” comment which cost her party dearly electorally, she of the RHI scandal, really has competition for dirty deals from within the DUP. From none other than Ian Paisley. Can’t help himself, can he? Sticky paws in every cookie jar he can find:whistle:
And these guys are holding the UK to ransom right now. Time to cut them loose.

So a very positive address from Arlene. It's only 56 years after the first unionist leader to talk in this vein. But it's coming from the leader of the party which has only looked inward, and fought on the defensive until now. How to drag the DUP into the 21st century? Why, plant an Ulster Unionist leader of course!
