If you are clipping it to a exterior wall then should be using HDG cable tray ideally, no requirement for swa thoughReckoned that the SWA would keep Roland at bay better than MDPE, and be better looking clipped to the wall. I can get it at ~£2/meter, so probably just as cheap too, when you add in time.
Just about to order 715m of 95mm 4 core, coming in at just over £25k with superlec,is there any that will better it?
Was thinking those hammer on cable clips to the angle steel, same as I have for power cables. SWA was to minimise any rodent damage. If you are clipping it to a exterior wall then should be using HDG cable tray ideally, no requirement for swa though
Kill the rats .....Was thinking those hammer on cable clips to the angle steel, same as I have for power cables. SWA was to minimise any rodent damage.
I have a full time employee who does this 24/7, but they always come back eventually.Kill the rats .....
It will work wherever you put it, but best practice would be all those cables in free air on cable tray spaced off the wall using unistrutWas thinking those hammer on cable clips to the angle steel, same as I have for power cables. SWA was to minimise any rodent damage.
For that length it's definitely worth giving superlec a call (or even go direct to Cleveland) rather than just using the website, also worth a call to both Doncaster and Eland cables ~4 ton of cable is usually worth a decent price. One thing to watch out for is that they'll probably want the cable reel(s) back or you get a hefty surcharge.Just about to order 715m of 95mm 4 core, coming in at just over £25k with superlec,is there any that will better it?
No, that's reasonable price for short lengths & cheaper than most trade counters unless you have a trade discount. Is £16.84 inc vat a metre dear then?
I hate seeing that - the seperate earth is vulnerable to damage, if you're not relying on the armour for cpc then it ought to be an internal core, although that can make it a bit more expensive. With heavier gauge SWA our electrician likes to run a separate earth alongside as well as using the armour.
16 square millimetre cross section per conductor. Can I ask what 16mm cable means. Ie is the cable 16mm diameter or the internal wires 16mm.it has been recommended for a feed to a house buried underground in a duct
