Whatever suits the agenda. Government infrastructure is in a parlous state with the DVLA and the NHS working at odds and furlough encouraging people, including large swathes of upper echelon NHS employees, to avoid work. Everybody is sick to death of shirkers hiding behind covid as an excuse not to go to work. Wake up government, they are taking the p1ss.

The average Briton could go 7 days with no grub and they would probably be healthier for it! When I'm minister for health we'll have national starvation week once a year. With any luck I'll bankrupt fudging greggs at the same time.

Careful lad. Hunger Days will quickly turn into Hunger Games 🤣

Mind you, if it means I can befriend Jennifer Lawrence... May the odds ever be in my favour

I've seen a real life version of the Hunger games before. Got lost in the Mendips once. Was surrounded by a gang of savages, luckily I had my emergency sausage roll to chuck out the window. Kept em occupied until I could whip my truck in reverse and get out of there.

I was talking to a machinery delivery driver .. saw the French plates for wide loads on his vehicle.

He says he's never been busier doing deliveries on the Continenent and vice versa. Eastern European firms are not trusted to deliver cargos post Brexit - he mentioned having paperwork in order, certificates, insurance, MOT etc. Seems as though those who only do half a job are being weeded out due to border checks.

He was quite happy with the result. Better job and safer for everyone.

Predictable post. Always looking for the negative. Glass half empty type of mindset. What a shame to live life in this environment

Rate of what? wage or per mile/job/day etc?

I saw Flip Flops coming in Living the dream driving 44-ton 6x4 units to landfill waving their finds from the shite around like a trophy back in the day at not much more than minimum wage... 10 in a 4 Bed house at 100 quid a week each.

After a while the odd ones were reporting themselves to Vosa.... You'd see them howling between jobs with blown tyres on an 8x4 hook lift.... No English and Scared Stiff of the dream breaking

Pay a better rate and freight will move, try to keep rates low and hauliers just won't bother hauling it.
Its feck all to do with Brexit, countries all over the world are having similar problems at the moment.

As long as they didn’t want to make you ‘squeal like a pig’ you’d have been fine.

I keep asking what the positives are and nobody will tell me. The only positive I've got working here is the fact that the UK as the main anti farmer country is now out of the EU. But its small consolation to all the red tape that Brexit has foisted on expats in Europe.

May already be happening
saw a spread out 2 mile convoy near Thetford yesterday morning, about seven Police 4x4s, at least two navy blue Police trucks ( looked like armoured ) and several unusual Army curtainsiders.
Any ideas what they could be?
