Dolly’s need to be made semi permanent so you don’t fall foul of the fact it’s seen as 2 trailers if you can remove the dolly and in this case the second trailer cannot be loaded

The pin can be repaced by a bolt and that then counts as permanent doesnt it?

Still the work of a devil. Ask anyone whos even tried to move the stupid whole crop headers!

Get yourself a copy of truck/plant trader Loads in there, if air isn’t a problem get 1 on air brakes and suspension any decent fabricator should be able to make you a dolly no problem and replace the 24v lights for 12v job done

Broughtan trailers? Yorkshire makes these all the time around 3.5/4K ask him

That's James barraclough. He'd make you one with sockets in side rails to so you could put posts in and put a rail on. If you found one I'm sure he'd put you hiab crane on front but I'd pipe it to work off tractor one less thing to be relying on in Field. Not be good if donkey engine packed up

It’s amazing where you can get a dolly trailer, and they are amazingly stable, but too heavy if you want to stay legal.
When / if the weight limit changes I will go dolly straight away but in the meantime drawbar is king.

All trailers should be CE marked and plated, but you can do this yourself.

Edit: the last conversion I did came in at about £6k IIRC, plus the trailer we already had.
However it had all new led lights, new floor, new sprung drawbar, full blast and paint.

I suppose the weight thing could screw you up.
Not sure many care though.
