Ascenso tyres

I have a set on my 6270. The only thing I noticed is the tread width on the rears(85 series) is narrower than the size suggests but it's not an issue. The front treads (70 series) are as wide as the sidewalls. They grip well and I haven't noticed much wear yet.

Already a few threads running on ascenso and other budget tyres.
Wouldn't mind trying them if they are a good bit cheaper then bkt, but it would have to be significant.

Edit:
It seems as if you are buying nearly a size smaller than you are, so on the face of that no, they're not good value - stick with the BKT's ..

I bought a pair of Ascenso rears for a 2wd yard runabout a year ago.
I also bought a pair of BKT for the sprayer shortly after cos the Ascenso were out of stock.
They are the same size according to the number on the sidewall but the Ascenso are an inch narrower and an inch lower than the BKT. As others said the lugs are also smaller than a BKT.
Can’t remember exactly but the BKT’s were only about £70-80 more per tyre.

So far they are both fine but you’ll have to revive this thread some years from now for a long term test review 😄
Ascenso were the cheapest radial I could source at the time. The tractor is semi retired only doing 200 hours or so per year.

Next door put some on a 270 NH when the trelleborgs failed. Very impressed apparently!
Wheel slip down and 1k less per tyre than michelin.

I was slightly surprised to see my ‘Nash had been used in a Bush tyres advert:

Not that it does much heavy draught work, but the 1 tyre (previous owner only changed 1, the ads a fib) is still black and round a couple of years later.
