The label says end of Jan as the last date for applying Astrokerb. I'm hoping it will do my CC of vertch/berseem clover. Galera might have to follow in March for thistles. If it's a decent crop of osr then it should smother it when the crop goes into stem extension.

@RTK Farmer , @Andy Howard and @dontknowanything have more experience of this than me.

Spoke to someone at Dow yesterday n they are of the opinion astrokerb will take the vetch out , kerb 500 is slightly kinder to it was the words used. So looks like a January application of kerb is coming.

Did mine on Thursday with Astrokerb and the vetch was very well curled up by Monday! Im looking forward to seeing the OSR again, as the vetch had gone mad the last month

Certainly has gone nuts hasn’t it. We are astrokerbing the lot this year, first time ever using it. Vetch starting to drag down the OSR

Was the idea not to keep the vetch in Long as possible in an effort to keep the winged rats off?
No, idea was for the vetch to save me some £££ of Nitrogen. Do you think it would work for pigeon control? I'm a bit worried the buckwheat that seeded will attract them!

Somebody had a video from this year's crop where they ran out of companion seed n that part of the field got hit by pigeons n the part with vetch didn't get touched ,.
