Athletes Foot

I have incredibly dry skin. And prone to eczema. I have returned to the gym and already found the skin between my little and fourth toes to be red raw and itchy. Got new trainers. Do all the usual "keep them dry and in fresh air" gubbins. But cant stop it. Any solutions? Tempted to spray them with some genetian violet now! Looking for ways to prevent other than Mycotta / Scholl. Any advice helpful.

Buy some cows lot better exercise than going to the gym!!!!!!

Fed and bedded cows. Was not hard work. Trying to decide if a years gym ticket for 1/5 of the price of a cow, to let me row and watch women's lovely bots jiggle about in the nice airconditioning is better value than trying to fix water troughts while stood in turd in the middle of the night.

Athlete's foot spray. Very effective

As a preventative? Which one? Suitable for daily use on hyper-sensitive skin? I am currently using Epaderm as a barrier cream.

When I was a lad the local horse doctor had me painting my feet with a feather dipped in formalin. Yes it cleared it up but I ended up with too much of an interest in sheep!
My two teenage boys have gone through the sweaty, smelly feet stage and a liberal covering of Caneston Cream (the foot one not the one for birds in the lady garden ;)) and touch wood they've been free of it for quite a while now. If there's any sign of it I'll put some on but I only did it when they went to bed and hadn't got their feet in socks or boots so their feet weren't getting hot and sweaty.

And use the powder not the cream.

Daktarin spray powder seems to work well for me, much better than the dry powders anyway. Also peeing on your feet in the shower seems to offer some relief too although there seem to be differing views on effectiveness online.

Just be careful what you Google with that one....

Bactakil 55 from Osmonds sorted mine out years ago. Only ever had to use it once.(y) Mrs NeilO had the same too, a year or so later, and it sorted that straight away too.

Might sting a bit if red raw though.

Lamisil once, i have athletes foot pretty much all the time and this stuff shifts it for a few months at a time.

Other than that a walk in the sea but might be a bit far to go on a morning and also a bit fresh :)
