Attention all B&B + Self Catering Operators

How much do you think about the mattresses on your beds?

Both Mrs Lazy Sod and myself have back problems, so at home we have memory foam mattresses. Mrs LS also has a roll up memory foam topper which she takes with us when we go away. This has been necessary as we have never found a place that already had memory foam mattresses.

Ever since we first met, 36 years ago, we have almost exclusively had B&B on a farm. Generally we have never had a complaint, other than on a few occasions when the problem has been the quality of the beds.
I put it down to the fact that our hosts probably never sleep on the guest beds themselves. One farmer's wife was most surprised that we had a problem and so, whilst we were out that day, they gave us the mattress off their own bed!

So please give it some thought. If you do have memory foam mattresses already, please say so on your website, so that we don't have to bung up the car with the bulky topper.

We have a firm mattress in ours (I think 4 out of 5 with 5 the firmest) know just how it is to sleep on as it's the same as my own bed as the company made a mistake and delivered us the wrong size mattress so we got to keep both!
