ATV fertilizer spreader

Lads,
Can anyone recommend a reliable fertilizer spreader for a Quad bike? I think a non trailed version would suit best as the ground is wet and I feel a trailed version would only plough. It would also be useful that it would be covered as places are so rough I'd lose the load!

We're just making one for a local guy to take a 12m sprayer so he can spray paddocks for local horse people that don't warrant taking a tractor in.

This sort of axle travels well especially with 22-11-8 flotation tyres.

Slightly open question on engine. For price and quality loncin can't be beaten. Price no matter Honda are always top of the line for refinement. I personally only buy loncin for any application as they are a good balance.

You don't need a reduction box unless you specifically want one. We Reduce speed via pulleys. Cost effective and easy. 2" pulley on the engine. 5" on the bottom connected to the pto gets you a good reduction. Fine tune on the throttle. Difficult to get exact 540 rpm but it's not critical as you have throttle control. A sprayer and vari spreader need very little power. 7.5hp will easily drive a 12m sprayer pump and will do a vari spreader. 12hp would be ample with spare power.

If you need any atv wheels/axles, or dimensions for bogey give me a shout. We get the wheels for a great price as we buy pallets at a time.

I have tried using a slug pelleter to put on 30 kg/ha nitrogen onto a small area of WOSR seedbed, but found that the shut off slide soon got stuck with the fertiliser absorbing moisture and gumming up.
