Atv helmets in hot weather

I think I probably know the answer, but are there any helmets out there that don't cook your head in this heat? I use a logic ATV helmet all year round. Plenty of room under it for a fleece hat during the winter, and comfortable.enough without in the summer.

When moving faster, it has plenty of ventilation to be reasonably cool in the heat, but when you slow down to check stock or on rough hill it gets very uncomfortable very quickly. I can't imagine any of them are that great without decent airflow but just thought I'd ask.

What about petzl vertex vent its rated for forestry use and the quad course people never batted an eyelid about them being used so presume they are ok
And they are more than cool enough to work in

I can honestly only ever remember seeing one ‘Farm user’ wearing a quad bike helmet in my whole life, and he was an employed shepherd that was trying to hide his identity from the local plod during his driving ban:censored::whistle:.

Quite a few threads have been on here discussing helmets, and i’ve No doubt they are probably ‘best practice’, blah de blah de blah, but it would be interesting to know how many actually wear them in their normal work. I know I certainly don’t and never intend too.

And what is more nearly every time on the TV when there is a quad in useuthere is not a helmet in sight.

My employer has got a lot stricter about all things Health and Safety over the last couple of years and insists on us wearing them.

That said, I don't always wear it. If I leave it sitting on the bike I will always put it on but if I take it off elsewhere I can go a day or two without it lol.

I think that attitude is changing. People are getting fined hundreds of thousands where breaches of h& s lead to a fatality. Not wearing a helmet on a quad where it is an obvious hazard is just silly (even members of hells angels agree with me and they are mental)
